The complexity of introducing a climate agreement is evident from the challenges we face in the Netherlands in connecting all the different facets. In addition to an energy transition, with its own challenges, we also want to make our industry more sustainable. Reducing our nitrogen in construction must also be regulated by law. If we want to make new products from waste, we encounter other laws and regulations that do not always make this possible.

In addition to legislation and regulations for the policy to be implemented, the government also stimulates the transition and measures through subsidies and/or financial benefits. This must all be in line with international laws and regulations and prevent unauthorized state aid. Within all this, it is sometimes very difficult for companies and organizations to move.
