Biobased feedstocks form the indispensable foundation for making Dutch industry more sustainable. Whether it's replacing fossil oil in the chemical industry or supplying renewable energy for heavy transport, biomass plays a key role in the transition to a climate-neutral 2050.
An honest look at the Bioeconomy
Biomassafeiten.nl is an initiative of leading companies and organizations in the supply chain. Our goal is to provide a transparent and factual picture of the opportunities that biomass offers. We operate in an exciting market that is constantly in flux due to accelerating innovations and an increasingly strict framework of laws and regulations.
For us, sustainable resource management isn't an option, it's fundamental. We advocate for a system in which the use of biomass never comes at the expense of nature, biodiversity, or the food supply.
