Staatsbosbeheer has a new product in the Hollands Hout line: facade cladding made of finger-jointed, finely sawn larch facade parts, originating from FSC®-certified forests. These sustainable wooden facade parts are delivered ready-made, including fire class D, assembly instructions and a paint finish with a guarantee system. Staatsbosbeheer works together with Boogaerdt Hout from Krimpen aan de Lek for the distribution, which makes the product available via their dealer network.
Strong interest from the construction sector
The wooden facade parts have already aroused broad interest among architects, clients, and resellers. Wooden facades are currently a fast-growing trend in the construction sector, partly driven by an increasing awareness of circular construction and the use of regional materials.
Larch: sustainable and versatile
The use of larch is not new to Staatsbosbeheer, but the innovative approach is. The facade parts are now finger-jointed and free of sapwood, which ensures a more stable and dimensionally stable end product. Thanks to the natural durability of larch, the wood can be used untreated. In addition, this method makes it possible to use a larger part of the tree qualitatively, which further benefits sustainability.
Dutch Wood: quality and sustainability from our own forests
Larch Dutch Wood comes from the sustainably managed forests of Staatsbosbeheer. This high-quality type of wood is specially sawn, dried and planed for various applications in construction and interior design. Larch has a characteristic heartwood with colour variations from pink to reddish brown and is, due to its density, ideally suited for facade cladding, exterior panelling and various construction purposes.
