Renewable CO2 from food waste based biogas – a case from Switzerland

Biogenic CO2 will become increasingly important in the future as a replacement for fossil CO2 in the chemical and food industries, as a source of CO2 for Carbon Capture and Storage (for negative emissions) and as a renewable carbon source for carbon-based e-fuels or e-products. Purifying CO2-rich residual gas from biogas plants is a promising option to generate renewable CO2.
