This year the Open Energy Day is being organized for the fourth time. On September 21, 2024, interested parties can visit various sustainable energy projects throughout the Netherlands. Visitors have the unique opportunity to take a look at wind turbines, solar parks, heating installations, high-voltage stations and other sustainable energy projects. More than sixty locations are expected to open their doors to the public.
The energy transition in the Netherlands is in full swing. In the coming years, the country will generate even more energy from renewable sources such as biomass boilers, wind turbines, solar panels, geothermal heat, heat pumps and hydropower. Homes, businesses and cars are increasingly using green energy instead of imported natural gas, and the electricity grid is rapidly expanding. During the Open Energy Day, everyone can come and experience for themselves how these sustainable energy solutions work.
