Are you involved in innovation or research in the field of biorefinery, bioenergy, biofuels or bioraw materials for the chemical industry? Would you like to gain insight into developments in India and expand your network with Indian experts? Then the innovation mission 'Biorefinery, bioenergy, biochemistry' to India, organized by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), is something for you.
The innovation mission is from Monday October 14 to Friday October 18, 2024 and aims to bring Dutch and Indian stakeholders together to work jointly on:
- Efficient methods for the conversion of biomass into bioenergy and chemical raw materials.
- Development of integrated biorefineries.
- Increasing the use of residual flows as raw materials.
This mission is intended for researchers, R&D managers, business developers, CTOs and CEOs of companies and knowledge institutions that focus on the efficient and sustainable production of biofuels and bioraw materials for the chemical industry. The number of participants is limited to approximately 20 people, with a maximum of two participants per organization. If there are a large number of applications, a selection will take place based on the fit between your expertise and the objectives of the mission. After the registration period you will receive a final confirmation of your participation.
Program
The mission's program is still in development but will include matchmaking events, seminars and visits to key government agencies, research centers and companies. The mission will start in the capital New Delhi and then proceed to the R&D centers in Pune and Mumbai. Some highlights of the program are:
- Interactions with the government: Meetings with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, the Department of Biotechnology, and the SATAT (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation) initiative.
- Visits to knowledge institutes and R&D centers: Such as IIT Delhi, IIT Mumbai, the National Institute of Bio-Energy (NIBE), and the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI).
- Visits to companies and biorefineries: Such as Praj Industries and Godavari Biorefineries.
- Interactions with the local start-up ecosystem: Through networking and matchmaking events, organized in collaboration with the Dutch embassy and organizations such as the Indian Biogas Association.
The innovation mission to India offers a unique opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the Netherlands and India in the field of biorefinery, bioenergy and biochemistry. By participating, you can gain valuable knowledge, establish new partnerships and contribute to the sustainable future of bio-based technologies.
