Climate & Energy Election debate can be followed online
The NVDE, Netbeheer Nederland, Young Climate Movement, Nature & Environment, Greenpeace, Milieudefensie and Groene 11 are organizing the Climate & Energy Election Debate in Utrecht on November 7, in collaboration with TivoliVredenburg. Politicians from the SP, CDA, VVD, ChristenUnie, D66, PvdD, GL/PvdA, BBB and NSC will discuss the government's responsibility for the climate, the role of the business community and behavioral change:
- A Green Deal has just been adopted in Europe. What will the Netherlands do in the field of sustainable energy? And how do the Netherlands' actions compare to those of Europe, or even the world?
- Citizens are increasingly suing companies. In order to enforce that they do more in the fight against climate change. What responsibility do companies have for a sustainable future?
- How do we make climate policy somewhat fair for citizens? Young people are more affected by climate change than older people. And how do we make solar panels, insulating your home and clean transport affordable for everyone?
For each topic, 3 parties always join the discussion to have a substantive and constructive discussion about what is needed. The participating politicians are Sandra Beckerman (SP), Derk Boswijk (CDA), Silvio Erkens (VVD), Pieter Grinwis (Christian Union), Tjeerd de Groot (D66), Ines Kostić (PvdD), Suzanne Kröger (GL/PvdA), Cor Pierik (BBB) and Wytske Postma (NSC, subject to change).
To prevent it from becoming a debate full of one-liners, a scientific panel will also be present to test the feasibility and credibility of the claims made.
The debate will be streamed live on Tuesday, November 7, from 20.00:22.00 PM to XNUMX:XNUMX PM and can be followed free of charge. For more information, visit the TivoliVredenburg website.
