Outgoing Minister for Climate and Energy Rob Jetten will open the Open Energy Day at the Nijmegen-Betuwe energy park on Saturday, September 16. On this day, curious citizens can visit sustainable energy projects throughout the Netherlands to get acquainted with the people and techniques behind the energy transition. For example, meet the people behind a windmill, feel the warmth of geothermal energy or get a tour of a nearby solar park on September 16.
The Open Energy Day is being held for the third time this year. There were many beautiful projects to view in the first two editions and this edition you can also visit dozens of projects. Consider, for example, the very first floating solar park in the Netherlands and a bicycle tour along a sustainable heating network. In 2022, more than sixty sustainable energy projects opened their doors to introduce around 5.000 visitors to their initiatives. On Daar Krijgjeenergievan.nl you will find all locations throughout the Netherlands that will open their doors on September 16.
It is also possible to submit projects yourself! Do you want to contribute to more knowledge and acceptance of sustainable energy techniques? Then register your location for this edition of the Open Energy Day.
