This summer, the European BIOCIRCULARCITIES project – a CBE JU-funded project – will offer a look behind the screen with a series of three exclusive webinars.
The BIOCIRCULARCITIES project aims to unlock the potential of the circular economy of unused biobased waste streams and stimulate the green and sustainable transition.
Do you want to adopt the approach of the BIOCIRCULARCITIES pilots and spread a circular bioeconomy in your own area? Learn all about the project, its development and insights from the partners in these three webinars.
- June 28, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Episode 1: Supporting local players in the transition to a circular bioeconomy and removing current barriers
This first episode of the BIOCIRCULARCITIES Trilogy reveals the story behind the success of the project or how partners supported a transition of the pilot areas to a circular bioeconomy through a joint approach. The partners invite you to reflect on the development of BIOCIRCULARCITIES during the two years of its existence and will share the most important findings with you. - July 4, 10:30 - 11:45
Episode 2: Identifying the most promising biocircular technology options, the BIOCIRCULARCITIES Web Tool in action
The second episode of the BIOCIRCULARCITIES Trilogy focuses on the BIOCIRCULARCITIES Webtool. This tool supports the identification of the most suitable (bio-circular) technologies for improving biowaste management and contributes to replicating the project's findings in other areas. Join us to discover the specificity of the tool, learn how to use it and what you can achieve with it. - September 13, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Episode 3: The Journey of the Three Trial Areas
The third and final webinar follows the journey of the three pilot areas – the Barcelona Metropolis (Spain), the Naples Metropolis (Italy) and the Pazardzhik Province (Bulgaria) – towards their new value chains and gets a taste of the experience they will have during the project have gained. You'll hear about a variety of topics, such as how local stakeholders were involved in the process and how the scientific work of BIOCIRCULARCITIES partners supported local discussions.
