Green gas energy cooperative Koekange Echten receives one subsidy of 123.500 euros from the province of Drenthe. That money is intended for a so-called biogas hub with mono-manure digesters.
The biogas is brought to a central point via a yet-to-be-constructed biogas pipeline, where it is upgraded to green gas.
To reduce nitrogen emissions, dairy farmers will adapt their stables. In this way, cow manure and urine are separated from each other.
Dairy farmers will also work with a special 'nitrogen stripper' that removes nitrogen from manure.
