In addition to the geothermal heat branch, ECW also sells biomass to Ennatuurlijk.
Heat company Ennatuurlijk also takes over the biomass activities of energy company ECW, owned by horticulturists in Middenmeer. Last month it was announced that Ennatuurlijk wants to take over the geothermal energy company from horticulturists in Middenmeer, ECW Geoholding. An explanation shows that ECW's biomass activities will also shift to Ennatuurlijk when the sale becomes final. The geothermal heat part of ECW Geoholding belongs to the main branch of ECW Netwerk.
ECW Network achieved a turnover of € 2021 million in 98. After divesting biomass and geothermal energy, ECW will continue its other activities as usual. This is the transport of energy, water and data at Agriport, but also trade and trade support in energy. Without a geothermal heat branch and biomass component, ECW expects to have more space to develop in energy trading and to provide water supply for data centers in the area.
Horticultural customers Ennatuurlijk
Ennatuurlijk, with pension fund PGGM as major shareholder, already has horticultural customers in Brabant in a residual heat network to the Plukmadese polder. Ennatuurlijk is also a shareholder in Plukmadese Polder Geothermie and has invested €300,000 in development there, but with no results yet. The party is also in discussions with parties in Koekoekspolder to use geothermal heat from the horticultural network for a future new residential area.
