Since July 1, the Bio-Economy Platform has had a coordinating role in the further development of the BioEnergy export group. This new role has been agreed with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and trade organization FME.
30 Dutch companies with export ambitions are members of the BioEnergy export group. RVO and FME support these companies in their export plans. Platform Bio-Economie is the first point of contact for Dutch companies. Bio-Economy will maintain contact with the export group members, share information with the group and organize an annual export group meeting.
“More international opportunities”
Martijn Sinke is executive director of the Bio-Economy Platform. He is happy with this development. Sinke: “Internationalization is an important element in the future course of Platform Bio-Economie. The Dutch bioeconomy is internationally leading. By 'exporting' our knowledge and experience, we can not only create opportunities for Dutch companies but also accelerate the development of the bioeconomy sector worldwide. In this way we make an important contribution to themes such as climate change and energy security. The collaboration with RVO within the existing ICEP program gives us the opportunity to create even more international opportunities for Dutch entrepreneurs within the bioeconomy sector.”
Independent partnership
Platform Bio-Economie is an independent partnership of companies and organizations that are directly and indirectly involved in the production, logistics, conversion and processing of bio raw materials in the bio-economy sector. PBE connects the business community, knowledge institutes and governments both nationally and internationally to accelerate the development of the use of bio-based raw materials in the Netherlands.
