“We all know we have to change. But that starts with yourself, otherwise nothing will happen. In my previous job I saw that huge amounts of agricultural waste were being burned in India and South America. That emits CO2, the farmer earns nothing from it and the soil is getting worse and worse. And in the meantime, trees are being cut down for paper. Shame! That's why, when I was 55, I started making paper and cardboard from agricultural waste from those countries. We now have customers such as Rabobank and Heineken and we are growing rapidly. My ultimate dream is that one day children will learn at school that paper is made from agricultural waste.”
